PNWCTA GROWING FOR YOU – Spring 2026 Outplant

The PNWCTA is conducting its annual seedling sale for PNWCTA members. Quantities available are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis. We grew a total of 68,000 seedlings split between Noble fir and Douglas fir, and a total of just under 10,000 Turkish fir seedlings.

Noble fir and Douglas-fir Seedlings

Douglas-fir: We are offering 2 different stock types for Douglas-fir with two different seed sources.  These are both one-year-old container seedlings and have been custom grown by PRT Nursery in Hubbard, OR. The seed used to grow these seedlings are from:

  1. PNWCTA Lebanon Seed Orchard 2022 crop (Target =10,000 seedlings):  Ramsby 1 seed source, a proven top performer offered in a Styro 8 (415C). Target height=9”, 3.6mm caliper. They will be packed at 220/box at $132/box.

  2. Texada Island clones BC. Seed orchard managed by Roseburg Forest Products Lebanon orchard (Target = 8,000 seedlings). Grown in a larger container; a Styro 15 (515A), target height=13”, 4.5mm target caliper.  Seedlings are available in lots of 132 seedlings per box at $95 per box.


Noble fir: We are offering two different stock types for Noble Fir.  All lots are 1- year old container seedlings and have been custom grown by PRT Nursery in Hubbard, OR.  The seedlings available were grown with seed from:

  1. PNWCTA Hostetler Orchard 2020 crop (growing ~20,000). This is a mixed orchard run seed lot comprised of top Riley-Fanno tested selections. The one-year-old seedlings will be grown in a Styro 8 (415C) with 220/box for $154/box. 

  2. PNWCTA Hostetler Orchard 2020 crop (same as above, growing ~30,000) grown as a Styro 15 (515A) with 132/box for $100/box. 


Turkish fir: VERY LIMITED SUPPLY. We have purchased limited quantities of Turkish fir from PRT’s Market Spec lots for 2026 outplant. The two-year-old seedlings are grown in Styro 8L (415C) containers and have been grown by PRT Nursery in Hubbard, OR. The seed is sourced from a seed orchard in France and performed well in past progeny tests for growth and Christmas tree quality. 10,000 seedlings @220 per box for $187/box.
